Camera Specifications of Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro Revealed
Following the earlier details about the Google Tensor G3 SoC that will power the Google Pixel 8 series, camera specifications for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have now surfaced, courtesy of Android Authority.
According to the information, the Pixel 8 series will feature a 50MP Samsung GN2 sensor, an upgrade from the GN1 sensor used in the Pixel 7 series. It’s worth noting that the front camera on the Pixel 8 series is expected to remain the same as the Pixel 7 series.
In terms of the ultra-wide camera, the Pixel 8 Pro will reportedly sport a 64MP sensor, a significant improvement over the 12MP sensor found in the Pixel 8. However, the Pixel 8 will feature the same ultra-wide camera as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Additionally, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to retain the 48MP 5X telephoto camera from the Pixel 7 Pro.
These camera specifications suggest that Google is aiming to enhance the photography capabilities of the Pixel 8 series, especially with the use of higher-resolution sensors and improved zoom capabilities in the Pro variant. Pixel phones are renowned for their photography prowess, and these upgrades indicate a continued commitment to delivering exceptional camera performance in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
